Spring Artist Showcase

Our Spring Artist Showcase features our house band led by Sonofmel as we launch our second FREE show of local and regional performers.  This is the second of four planned Artist Showcases for 2025.

This is a FREE concert for all. Please come give these artists a warm, Northwoods reception. You won't be disappointed!

Some of our planned artists for this event include:

Sonofmel: Our Showcase emcee. After 20 years of wandering, from Baku to Berkeley, Anchorage to Ankara, Sonofmel brings the foreign home to the familiar, piling prodigal wanderings and fistfuls of chords into spoken word, stories, and song. Sonofmel is also a volunteer board member of The Park Theater.

"Is it music or poetry? Talking blues? Whatever it is, it may be the most interesting folk from Minnesota since Dylan." --Keweenaw Music

Sean Okamoto: Sean is a guitarist/vocalist and plays in the Duo Sean and Ian Okamoto. Sean has played in numerous bands in the Northwoods since 1998 including Molly and the Danger Band, The Frisky Lizards, The Drifting Fishheads, Celine Divine,The Flying Coons Brothers and more.

The Z’s: Bill and Carol Z met during college in northern Wisconsin while performing in 2 separate rock bands. They fell in love, got married, raised a family, had fulfilling jobs until retirement but never stopped performing music together for resorts, churches, wineries, schools and bistros from the Midwest to Florida. One of the most commonly heard comments on their music is "You guys play all my favorite songs on my playlist!"

Jerry Kirk: An Native American artist and poet from the Lac Courte Orielles Reservation, Kirk has created works that were unique and memorable, his work leaving a strong impression on you. He’s displayed regionally, including having a permanent piece on display at The LCO University Library. More recently he published his debut poetry book title ‘Native Tongue’ which is available on Amazon.
